Season 1: Airdrop Phase
You've counted 3 months and 7 days since you left the citadel for the scouting expedition to the island of Pentis. One night, you and your crew suddenly witness a strange dark formation on the cliffs of Luneria, a mysterious neighboring island abandoned long ago.
You decide to investigate closer. Upon inspection, you see a dark portal with strange creatures coming out. Sensing a looming danger, you sail back to Pentos and instruct Margaux your fastest sailer to quickly report this to the elders of the citadel.
3 days later, Margaux reaches the citadel with the unsettling report of the strange dark portal formation opening in the island of Luneria.
Upon hearing this, grandmaster Pyke hurries to the citadel library to find the mysterious book which he remembers recording a portal opening years before the long night which happened 12 centuries ago.
During the long night, the sun gave no light, and hordes of demons and creeps led by the dark guardian appeared suddenly destroying all lifeform until the citadel.
Hope quickly faded as village after village became totally ravaged and consumed by the dark forces.
Suddenly, a glimmer of hope: a meteor blast landed in one of the fields near the citadel, spilling meteor fragments with destructive magical properties all over...a gift from the heavens.
With this, the mages and blacksmiths forged meteor swords for all high ranking knights with power embedded to disintegrate any form of dark energy back into the void.
It took the strength of the whole Kingdom of Avalon and its champions to fight back against these dark forces.
The war ended with the bravery of Jax, a lowborn knight picking up a meteor blade from a cold corpse, mustering all of his courage and climbed onto the back of the dark guardian and struck the blade right into its right eye!
All monsters immediately disintegrated into the void. Thus ended the long night...
This legendary event has been extensively recorded. However, only one book foretold of how these creatures appeared into the world. Scholars have long disregarded this book to be merely folklore. Grandmaster Pyke however, sensing its importance has kept it safely guarded in the depts of the citadel library nonetheless.
An emergency council meeting is called by grandmaster Pyke with this new information.
The King, not fully convinced of these accounts brushes the threat aside. Nonetheless, with some convincing from the scholars, the King orders for your crew to stay in Pentos, build a settlement, set up an economic outpost and survive. Your goal is to capture and study as many of these creeps and bring your finding to the citadel.
The long night threat might be real, but it will take ample evidence to convince the whole kingdom and gain access to full resources.
Captain, here begins your journey to help the realm survive. Only you will know what comes out of the portal this time...
